Book Gary Clark Jr.
Gary Clark Jr. is an Austin, Texas guitarist and singer whose music welds blues, rock and soul together with touches of hip hop. Raised in the city's club scene, he came up through the stage at Antone's, sharing bills with Jimmie Vaughan before signing with Warner Bros. Records in 2011 and issuing The Bright Lights EP. His major-label albums Blak and Blu (2012), The Story of Sonny Boy Slim (2015), This Land (2019) and JPEG RAW (2024) cemented him as one of modern blues-rock's defining voices, and he has also co-written with Alicia Keys, contributing "Fire We Make" to Girl on Fire. He has won four Grammy Awards from six nominations: Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Please Come Home", then Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance and Best Contemporary Blues Album, all for This Land. A tireless live performer, he has released concert sets including Gary Clark Jr. Live (2014) and appeared on screen in Elvis (2022). On stage he brings searing, improvised guitar, a smooth falsetto and a set that can swing from raw Texas shuffle to heavy rock and soul within a single night.
