Book Flogging Molly
Flogging Molly are the Los Angeles Celtic punk band whose fourth album, Float (2008), reached number four on the Billboard 200. Formed in 1994 around Dublin-born singer Dave King, previously the frontman of the hard rock band Fastway with Motörhead guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke, the group took its name from Molly Malone's, the Los Angeles pub where it played weekly and built its first loyal following. King left a major label solo deal to pursue a sound that fused traditional Irish instruments with punk and rock, and violinist Bridget Regan has been part of the band from the start. Their debut album, Swagger (2000), was followed by Drunken Lullabies (2002) and Within a Mile of Home (2004), and the seven-piece became a fixture of the Warped Tour. Speed of Darkness (2011), Life Is Good (2017) and Anthem (2022) followed, released through their own label, Borstal Beat Records. The band also hosts its own festival at sea, the Salty Dog Cruise. Fiddle, tin whistle, accordion, mandolin and banjo drive their shows alongside loud guitars, and their fans sing, dance and jig through every set.
