Dolph Lundgren is a Swedish American actor, filmmaker and martial artist who became an action icon the moment he stepped into the ring as Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV (1985), a role he revisited in Creed II (2018). He has since headlined dozens of action films, among them Masters of the Universe (1987), Red Scorpion (1988), The Punisher (1989), I Come in Peace (1990), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991) and Men of War (1994), and he faced off with Jean-Claude Van Damme as Sergeant Andrew Scott in the Universal Soldier films. In the 2000s he stepped behind the camera, directing and starring in The Defender (2004), The Mechanik (2005), Missionary Man (2007) and Command Performance (2009). He returned to the big screen as Gunner Jensen in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables (2010) and its sequels, then joined Aquaman (2018) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023), directed Castle Falls (2021) and appeared in Hail, Caesar!
