Rick Schroder is an American actor and filmmaker who became a star as a child and kept working steadily as an adult. Billed as Ricky Schroder, he debuted on film playing Jon Voight's son in The Champ (1979), and the role won him a Golden Globe in 1980, making him, at nine, the youngest Golden Globe winner ever. He followed with the Disney film The Last Flight of Noah's Ark alongside Elliott Gould and the title role in Little Lord Fauntleroy with Alec Guinness, then became a household name as Ricky Stratton on the sitcom Silver Spoons (1982 to 1987). As an adult, he starred in the celebrated Western miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989), joined the police drama NYPD Blue (1998 to 2001) and led the World War I film The Lost Battalion (2001). Behind the camera he made his directing debut with Black Cloud (2004), and he has produced projects including the anthology film Locker 13 and the war documentary The Fighting Season through his own production company. Schroder brings decades of beloved roles and stories to fans.
