Book Cyrille Aimée

Cyrille Aimée is a French jazz vocalist from Samois-sur-Seine, near Fontainebleau, with French and Dominican roots and a voice critics describe as instantly recognizable. In 2007 she won the vocal competition at Montreux Jazz Festival; she was a 2010 finalist at the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, then took the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2012. Her discography spans a dozen albums, including Smile (2010), It’s a Good Day (2014), Let’s Get Lost (2016), Live (2018), I'll Be Seeing You (2021), Petite Fleur (2021) and à Fleur de Peau (2024). Her 2019 project Move On: A Sondheim Adventure reimagined Stephen Sondheim songs, earned praise from the composer himself, and brought a Grammy nomination for her take on "Marry Me a Little." In 2022 France named her a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres. One New York Times critic likened her to a cross between Sarah Vaughan and Michael Jackson, noting her precise control and playful phrasing that moves between swing tradition and electronic textures. Live, she delivers a joyful, intimate jazz show that charms both devoted jazz fans and newcomers.
