Book Casey Abrams
Casey Abrams is a musician from Idyllwild, California, who became a fan favorite on the tenth season of American Idol. A jazz-minded singer and upright bassist with a gravelly voice and an unpredictable streak, he was saved by the judges during the season and ultimately finished sixth. His final Idol performance, a wild take on Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You," became one of the season's memorable moments, and he returned for the finale to sing "Fat Bottomed Girls" with Jack Black. Abrams released his self-titled debut, Casey Abrams (2012), on Concord Records, followed by Tales from the Gingerbread House in 2016. Later records lean into his jazz roots and showmanship, including Put a Spell on You (2018), Jazz (2019) and BBQ Jones (Glad You Came) (2024). He blends swing, blues, soul and pop with an improviser's freedom, often switching between bass, vocals and playful scatting. On stage, Abrams delivers a loose, high-spirited show full of musicianship and humor, the kind of performance that wins over jazz fans and casual listeners alike.
