Book Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields is an American actress, model and the current president of the Actors' Equity Association, with a career that began before she could walk. She started modeling at eleven months old, beginning with an Ivory Soap campaign, and became a top child model. After appearing in a 1974 television version of Arthur Miller's After the Fall, she moved into features and became a screen sensation with The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981). In 1983 she paused modeling to attend Princeton University, graduating with a degree in Romance languages. Returning to acting in the 1990s, she won over television audiences as the star of the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan (1996–2000), which earned her two Golden Globe nominations, and later starred in Lipstick Jungle (2008–2009). In 2017 she joined Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in a major recurring role, and she voiced Beverly Goodman in the Adult Swim cartoon Mr. Pickles and its spin-off Momma Named Me Sheriff. Her honors include a Theatre World Special Award (1995) and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. Shields brings poise, humor and decades of genuine star power to any stage.
