Book Ayah Marar
Ayah Marar is a London-based vocalist and songwriter of Jordanian and Bulgarian heritage, dubbed the "Queen of Bass" for her work across drum and bass and dubstep. Her first single, "Dance Child," came out with Loxy & Ink on Signal Records, and she went on to record a string of singles in the drum and bass world. In 2004 she began collaborating with Calvin Harris and Toddla T; she toured the world as part of Harris's live show and sang lead on three tracks from his second album. She has also written or sung on music by Jack Peñate, DJ Fresh, Bassline Smith and Camo & Krooked. Before her solo breakthrough she worked at Uptown Records in Soho, helped run Lucky Devil Records and promoted club events across London. She then launched her own independent label, Hussle Girl, which released her debut album The Real in October 2012. Her music has been championed on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Ministry of Sound radio, and she has guest-hosted radio shows. On stage she brings powerhouse vocals and bass-heavy energy to the dance floor.
