Book Adriana Evans
Adriana Evans is a San Francisco-born soul and R&B singer-songwriter, the daughter of jazz vocalist Mary Stallings, with a smooth, jazz-informed voice that made her a favorite of 1990s neo-soul fans. Her self-titled debut, Adriana Evans, arrived in 1997 on PMP Records, reached the Top 40 of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and yielded the singles "Love Is All Around" and "Seein' Is Believing." After time in Brazil she returned with Nomadic (2004), a genre-crossing record built around African musical themes, followed by the compilation Kismet. Her 2007 album El Camino drew even more deeply on Brazilian influences, and Walking With the Night (2010) featured the single "Weatherman." Evans also recorded new music for Logo's series Noah's Arc, whose opening theme "Remember Love" ran across both seasons in 2005 and 2006, with songs from Nomadic and El Camino also featured on the soundtrack. Early in her career she appeared in the video for "Check the Vibe." On stage, Evans offers a sophisticated, groove-driven soul set blending R&B, jazz and Brazilian flavors.
