Book Voz de Mando
Based in Los Angeles, Voz de Mando plays high-powered norteño-banda music, with members rooted in Michoacán and Baja California. The group got its start with the 2007 release "Escoge Tu Camino" and built a following with the self-released albums Levantando la Voz and 12 Impactos de Alto Calibre in 2009, which earned them a deal with Disa Records, Universal's Latin imprint. Their major-label debut Con la nueva federación (2010) produced a breakout single that reached the top ten of the Billboard Regional Mexican Songs chart, and a busy run of albums followed, including La Hummer y el Camaro (2011), Levantando polvadera (2014), Clase de historia (2017), El que a ti te gusta (2018) and Retomando (2022). The singles "Y Ahora Resulta" and "Muchacho de Campo" became crossover hits. "Levantando Polvadera" won the regional Mexican song of the year at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards, making them the first regional Mexican band to win an iHeartRadio award. They appeared in the film A Better Life (2011), and "Compadre No Rajes" was the theme of the series Route 35. Voz de Mando brings brassy, foot-stomping energy to every show.
