Book Viagra Boys
Viagra Boys are a Stockholm post-punk band known for wild, sax-driven grooves and lyrics loaded with satire and dark humor. Formed in 2015 by players from Swedish groups such as Nitad, Pig Eyes and Les Big Byrd, the band is fronted by singer and chief lyricist Sebastian Murphy, a California native from San Rafael who moved to Stockholm as a teenager and famously met his future bandmates at a karaoke night. The lineup features guitarist Linus Hillborg, keyboardist Elias Jungqvist, bassist Henrik "Benke" Höckert, drummer Tor Sjödén and saxophonist Oskar Carls. Their debut album Street Worms arrived in 2018 on the Swedish independent label Year0001, earning a perfect score from Dagens Nyheter and winning IMPALA's Album of the Year Award in 2019. They followed with Welfare Jazz (2021), later expanded in a deluxe edition, Cave World (2022) and viagr aboys (2025). On stage, Viagra Boys are a chaotic, sweaty spectacle, with Murphy's deadpan swagger riding a relentless, danceable rhythm section and honking saxophone that turns any room into a riotous party.
