Book Vanessa Carlton

Vanessa Carlton is a singer, pianist, songwriter and stage actress whose piano-driven debut single "A Thousand Miles" became one of the defining pop songs of 2002. The song spent 41 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, earned three Grammy nominations and introduced her debut album Be Not Nobody, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and also produced "Ordinary Day" and "Pretty Baby." Signed to A&M Records by Jimmy Iovine after he caught one of her shows, she followed with Harmonium (2004), then Heroes & Thieves (2007), which won strong critical praise. Her independently released Rabbits on the Run (2011) and Liberman (2015) were acclaimed for their personal themes and fresh musical direction, and she continued with Love Is an Art (2020) and Veils (2026). In 2019 she made her Broadway debut in a leading role in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and in 2025 Billboard included her in its ranking of the 21st century's best female artists. In concert, Carlton sits at the piano to deliver intimate, beautifully crafted songs, pairing her signature hits with the more adventurous material of her later records for a rich and personal show.
