Book Underoath
Underoath is a rock band from Tampa, Florida, founded in 1997 in nearby Ocala by vocalist Dallas Taylor and guitarist Luke Morton. Today's lineup features drummer Aaron Gillespie, the last original member, along with keyboardist Christopher Dudley, guitarist Timothy McTague, bassist Grant Brandell and vocalist Spencer Chamberlain, who took over lead vocals in 2003. The band reached a wide audience with They're Only Chasing Safety in 2004, then Define the Great Line in 2006 and Lost in the Sound of Separation in 2008, and Grammy.com lists two Grammy nominations for the group. Later albums include Erase Me in 2018, Voyeurist in 2022 and The Place After This One in 2025. Underoath has played the Warped Tour and the Taste of Chaos World Tour, and its mix of metalcore intensity and melodic choruses fills clubs and festival stages.
