Book The Teskey Brothers
The Teskey Brothers are a Melbourne blues and soul band built around brothers Josh Teskey, whose gravelly voice drives the songs, and guitarist Sam Teskey. Formed in 2008, they cut their teeth playing streets and house parties before graduating to bigger rooms. Their debut album Half Mile Harvest (2017) was recorded in their own home studio and climbed to the top of Australia's independent album chart. After signing with Glassnote Records and Ivy League Records in 2019, they released Run Home Slow (2019), which opened at number two on the ARIA chart. That record earned seven nominations at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards and took home three trophies, including Best Group and the blues and roots album prize, plus an engineering award for Sam. The same year they took the Levi Music Prize and wrote seven songs for the soundtrack of the film Palm Beach. Their most recent album, The Winding Way, followed in 2023. Live, the Teskeys deliver warm, vintage soul in the classic Stax tradition, with tight musicianship and a big, emotional vocal at the center.
