Book The Orchestra
The Orchestra are the British-American rock band that carries the music of the Electric Light Orchestra to stages around the world, played by musicians who were part of that legacy. The group formed in 2000 as the continuation of ELO Part II after drummer Bev Bevan left and sold his share of the ELO name to Jeff Lynne, who then required the remaining players to adopt a new name. The founding lineup featured Eric Troyer on keys and vocals, Parthenon Huxley on guitar and vocals, and ELO alumni Mik Kaminski on violin, Louis Clark and Kelly Groucutt, with American drummer Gordon Townsend joining on drums. The band released the studio album No Rewind (2001), but its live show is built around the classic ELO catalog, with lush strings, layered harmonies and orchestral rock arrangements. Audiences hear favorites such as "Evil Woman," "Telephone Line," "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Mr. Blue Sky," performed with the precision and warmth of players who know the material from the inside. The Orchestra deliver a nostalgic, high-quality celebration of one of rock's most beloved songbooks.
