Book The California Honeydrops
Led by frontman Lech Wierzynski, who started the group in 2007, The California Honeydrops are a soulful roots outfit known for joyful, danceable shows steeped in New Orleans soul, old-school R&B and roots music. The core lineup includes Wierzynski alongside Lorenzo Loera, Beaumont Beaullieu, Benjamin Malament and Yanos "Johnny Bones" Lustig, and the band often welcomes guest musicians on stage. Their debut album Soul Tub! arrived in November 2008, a year after they formed, and they have recorded steadily ever since. The catalog includes B-Sides from the Blues Cave, Spreadin' Honey in 2010, Like You Mean It in 2013, A Higher Degree and A River's Invitation in 2015, and Call It Home: Vol. 1 & 2 in 2018. More recent releases are Soft Spot in 2022, Keep On Diggin' in 2024 and Redwood Highway in 2025, along with several live albums such as Honeydrops Live and the Covers from The Cave set. The Honeydrops have toured widely and played music festivals, and they are famous for turning concerts into communal dance parties, mixing horns, grooves and singalong choruses.
