Book The Amazons
Hailing from Reading in Berkshire, The Amazons are an English rock band built around big riffs and sing-along choruses. Formed in 2014 after an early spell under the name Peers, the group centers on frontman Matt Thomson on vocals and guitar, Chris Alderton on guitar and Elliot Briggs on bass, with George Le Page on drums and Ella McRobb on vocals and keys joining as full members in 2026 after time in the touring lineup. Their arrival was heavily tipped: NME, The Independent and BBC Radio 1 all singled them out as a band to hear in 2017, and they appeared on the longlists for MTV's Brand New for 2017 and the BBC's Sound of 2017. Their self-titled debut album, The Amazons (2017), launched them into the top tier of new guitar bands, followed by Future Dust (2019), How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? (2022) and 21st Century Fiction (2025). AllMusic has praised their knack for catchy, melodic anthems with arena-sized ambition. Live, The Amazons deliver loud, energetic rock shows packed with hooks made for crowds to shout back at the stage.
