Book Stoney LaRue

Stoney LaRue is an American Texas country and Red Dirt singer-songwriter and one of the defining voices of the Oklahoma Red Dirt movement. Born in Taft, Texas, and raised in eastern Oklahoma, he cut his teeth in the bars of Stillwater, where he shared the legendary "Yellow House" with fellow musicians Jason Boland and Cody Canada, hosting late-night jam sessions that helped shape the scene. Drawing inspiration from Woody Guthrie, Bob Childers and Mike Hosty, he fronted The Organic Boogie Band on Downtown, recorded at Tulsa's Cain's Ballroom, before releasing The Red Dirt Album (2005), which reached the Billboard sales charts in its first week. He followed it with Live At Billy Bob's Texas (2007), Velvet (2011), Aviator (2014), Us Time (2015) and Onward (2019), building a catalogue of six studio albums. His voice can also be heard in the harmonies of Miranda Lambert's "All Kinds of Kinds" from 2013. In 2025 he was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in a class that honored fellow Red Dirt standard-bearers. LaRue brings soulful vocals and a high-energy honky-tonk show.
