Book Steve Sarkisian

Steve Sarkisian is the American football coach who leads the program at the University of Texas, a flagship program in college football. Raised in Torrance, California, he first played college baseball at USC before moving to El Camino College and then Brigham Young University, where he starred as a quarterback for the BYU Cougars. He went on to play professionally with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Turning to coaching, he ran the Washington Huskies as head coach for five seasons starting in 2009 and then led USC in 2014 and 2015. He served as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL in 2017 and 2018, and then ran the offense at the University of Alabama in 2019 and 2020, producing a record-setting offense. That work led to his hiring at Texas, where he has guided the Longhorns back to national prominence. A quarterback-minded play caller with experience at every level, Sarkisian speaks with authority on leadership, rebuilding programs and developing talent under pressure.
