Book Skinny Puppy
Skinny Puppy began in Vancouver in 1982 as a project of cEvin Key, who was joined by vocalist Nivek Ogre, and the Canadian pair grew into an electro-industrial act. The group became a founding force in industrial and electro-industrial music, signed early to the Vancouver label Nettwerk, and built a devoted following with theatrical, visually extreme shows. Their studio albums include Remission in 1984, Bites in 1985, Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse in 1986, VIVIsectVI in 1988, Rabies in 1989, Too Dark Park in 1990 and Last Rights in 1992, followed by The Process in 1996. Key and Ogre reunited for a live show at Doomsday Festival in August 2000, then released The Greater Wrong of the Right in 2004, Mythmaker in 2007, HanDover in 2011 and Weapon in 2013. They supported Weapon with the Live Shapes for Arms Tour in 2013. Their fusion of funk, noise, new wave and rock made them influential on later electronic and industrial acts.
