Book Scissor Sisters

Scissor Sisters are a New York pop rock band formed in 2000, led by Jake Shears alongside Babydaddy and Del Marquis, with vocalist Ana Matronic and drummer Paddy Boom among its former members. Born in the city's gay nightlife scene, the group mixes glam rock, nu-disco, electroclash and pure pop into a flamboyant, irresistibly danceable sound. Their disco reinvention of "Comfortably Numb" earned a Grammy nomination and set up their self-titled debut Scissor Sisters (2004), a massive international success that won three BRIT Awards in 2005. "Filthy/Gorgeous" became their first No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The second album Ta-Dah (2006) delivered the hit "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" and was supported by the Angel Tour. Night Work (2010) pushed toward a sleeker club sound and reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart, followed by Magic Hour in 2012. The band has also found big audiences across Europe, Australia and Canada. A Scissor Sisters show is a glittering party, packed with falsetto hooks, outrageous style, theatrical flair and joyous dance-floor anthems.
