Book Polyphia

Polyphia is an instrumental rock band from Plano, Texas, formed in 2010 and known for dazzling, genre-blurring guitar work. The lineup pairs guitar virtuosos Tim Henson and Scott LePage with a rhythm section of Clay Gober on bass and Clay Aeschliman behind the kit. Named after polyphony, the musical idea of interweaving melodic lines, the band first broke out when a guitar play-through of "Impassion" from the EP Inspire went viral on YouTube. Early material leaned heavy and metalcore-based, but on their first full-length, Muse (2014), they began pulling in pop, funk and electronic influences, which led to a deal with Equal Vision Records and a 2015 reissue. Renaissance (2016) kept blending pop, hip-hop and EDM textures, and New Levels New Devils (2018) became their first album to reach the Billboard 200, landing at number 61. Remember That You Will Die (2022) debuted at number 33, and BE NOT AFRAID followed in 2026. Polyphia has shared bills with progressive heavyweights including Periphery and August Burns Red. Live, they deliver technically jaw-dropping, groove-heavy guitar music that feels as fresh to pop fans as it does to shredders.
