Book Phil Jackson

Phil Jackson is an American basketball legend who owns 13 NBA championship rings: two earned on the court with the Knicks and eleven more from the bench, a resume few in professional sports can match. His eleven titles on the sideline are a NBA record, as are his 229 postseason wins and 13 conference crowns. Born in 1945, Jackson played college ball at the University of North Dakota and was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1967, making the NBA All-Rookie Team and winning two championships during a thirteen-season playing career. After coaching in the minor leagues, he joined the Chicago Bulls as an assistant in 1987 and took over as head coach in 1989, guiding the team to six titles in the 1990s. With the Los Angeles Lakers he won three straight from 2000 to 2002 and two more in 2009 and 2010. Nicknamed the "Zen Master" for his holistic, Eastern-influenced approach and his use of the triangle offense, he was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1996, won three ESPY Awards and entered the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. He brings unmatched leadership wisdom to any audience.
