Book Paul Hogan

Paul Hogan is an Australian actor and comedian who became a worldwide star as outback adventurer Michael "Crocodile" Dundee. He was working on the Sydney Harbour Bridge when he talked his way onto the amateur talent show New Faces in 1971, billing himself as a tap-dancing knife-thrower and turning the tables on the judges with his jokes. Viewers loved him, and regular comic spots on A Current Affair followed, where he met producer John Cornell, who became his manager and partner. His own sketch series, The Paul Hogan Show, made him a household name across Australia. Hogan co-wrote and starred in Crocodile Dundee (1986), which won him the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a musical or comedy and an Academy Award nomination for its original screenplay. He returned to the role in Crocodile Dundee II (1988) and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001), and co-hosted the 59th Academy Awards in 1987. He was named Australian of the Year in 1985 and became a Member of the Order of Australia in 1986. Hogan's easygoing larrikin humor and laconic storytelling remain instantly recognizable to audiences everywhere.
