Book Pat Riley

Pat Riley, known as "the Godfather," is a basketball icon whose success spans playing, coaching and front-office leadership. He played college ball at Kentucky and won a NBA title as a player in 1972, then became the architect of the Los Angeles Lakers' Showtime era, coaching them to four championships in the 1980s. Riley has collected nine NBA championships in all, as a player, assistant coach, head coach and executive, and he was the first American sports figure to win titles in all four roles. He won Coach of the Year honors on three occasions, with the Lakers, the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat, and in 1996 the league placed him on its list of the 10 Greatest Coaches. Since 1995 he has been president of the Heat, coaching them to the 2006 championship and building the teams that won again in 2012 and 2013; he was named NBA Executive of the Year in 2011. Riley was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach in 2008. He brings unmatched leadership lessons, polish and a winner's mindset.
