Book MC Hammer
MC Hammer is an American rapper, dancer, record producer and entrepreneur from Oakland, California, who started as a batboy for the Oakland Athletics and became an icon of 1990s pop-rap. His breakthrough album Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em in 1990 included "U Can't Touch This," whose music video, baggy parachute pants and dance moves became a cultural phenomenon. He followed with Too Legit to Quit, "Pumps and a Bump" and "Addams Groove," and his eleven albums range from Feel My Power in 1986 through The Funky Headhunter, Active Duty and DanceJamtheMusic. Grammy.com lists three wins and eight nominations, including the Best Music Video award. He later founded the dance app DanceJam and invested in technology. Hammer's shows blend nostalgia, athletic choreography and hits that audiences know from the first beat, with a charismatic and humorous stage presence.
