Book Max Stalling
Max Stalling is a Texas country singer-songwriter who traded a corporate job at Frito-Lay for a life on the road and never looked back. Developing his craft in Dallas, he drew inspiration from Texas songwriting greats Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Robert Earl Keen, building a catalog that stretches from Comfort in the Curves (1997) and Wide Afternoon (2000) through One of the Ways (2002), Topaz City (2007), Banquet (2015) and Live at the Mucky Duck: Portmanteau (2019), along with the concert set Sellout - Live At Dan's Silver Leaf. One of his strongest records, Home to You (2010), was produced by Grammy winner Lloyd Maines, picked up LoneStarMusic Award nominations for Best Album and Best Male Vocal, and featured the single "I Ain't Drinking Alone." Stalling has served on the Board of Governors of the Texas chapter of the Recording Academy and has a star on the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi. Playing about 150 dates a year with his band, which features Heather Stalling on fiddle and harmonies, he delivers an easygoing blend of Texas dance-hall grooves and literate storytelling.
