Book Maverick City
Maverick City Music has won five Grammy Awards since its 2019 debut, a remarkable run for a worship collective founded in Atlanta by Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay. The project began in 2018 with songwriting camps that gathered dozens of Christian artists, and its first releases, Maverick City, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, arrived in 2019. The live albums Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1 and Part 2 followed in 2020, with the singles "Man of Your Word" and "Promises." In 2021 the collective partnered with Elevation Worship on Old Church Basement, home to the hits "Jireh," "Talking to Jesus" and "Wait on You," released two collaborative projects with Upperroom, and earned wide acclaim for Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition. It has also recorded in Spanish with Venga Tu Reino and Simple Adoración. Beyond the Grammys, its honors include five GMA Dove Awards, a Billboard Music Award and a Soul Train Music Award. The group has headlined the Welcome to Maverick City Tour and the Kingdom Tour with Kirk Franklin, and new music keeps coming, including Love Made A Way (2025) and I Was Made To Glorify Your Name and Holy (2026).
