Book Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are American twin sisters who grew up in front of the camera and became major figures in fashion. Before their first birthday they began sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on the beloved sitcom Full House (1987–1995), and in 1993 the production company Dualstar Entertainment Group was formed to build a franchise around them. A long run of family films and direct-to-video hits followed, including It Takes Two (1995), Passport to Paris (1999), Our Lips Are Sealed (2000), Winning London (2001), Holiday in the Sun (2001), Getting There (2002), When in Rome (2002) and The Challenge (2003), plus the series So Little Time, which brought Mary-Kate a Daytime Emmy nomination. They made cameos in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003), and their last film together was New York Minute (2004); Mary-Kate's final screen role came in Beastly (2011). In March 2012 the twins formally retired from acting to concentrate on design. They co-founded the luxury label The Row, the lifestyle brand Elizabeth and James and the lines Olsenboye and StyleMint, co-wrote the book Influence, and belong to the CFDA. They remain icons of pop culture and style.
