Book Marky Ramone

Marky Ramone is the American drummer best known for his long tenure behind the kit with the Ramones, the band that helped define punk rock. Born Marc Steven Bell, he began playing in 1971 with the New York hard rock band Dust, recording two albums with the group, and later cut an album with Estus produced by Andrew Loog Oldham. He moved into the punk scene drumming for Richard Hell and the Voidoids before replacing Tommy Ramone in the Ramones in 1978. His two stints, 1978 to 1983 and 1987 to 1996, made him the longest-serving drummer in Ramones history. He has also drummed for other punk and heavy metal acts and led his own group, Marky Ramone and the Intruders. Today he is one of three surviving Ramones, alongside Richie Ramone and C.J. Ramone, and he carries the band's music to audiences around the globe with Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. In 2015 he published his autobiography, Punk Rock Blitzkrieg: My Life as a Ramone. His shows deliver fast, loud, nonstop punk classics.
