Book Klaxons

Klaxons are the London band that fused indie rock with dance music energy and helped spark the short-lived but influential new rave movement of the mid-2000s. After a run of 7-inch singles on independent labels, including "Gravity's Rainbow" (2006) and "Magick" (2006), they broke through with "Golden Skans" (2007) and their debut album, Myths of the Near Future, released in January 2007. That record won the Mercury Prize in 2007, a major honor that confirmed their place among the leading British guitar bands of the time. The group spent late 2006 and 2007 festival slots and their own headline dates around the world, among them the NME Indie Rave Tour, building a reputation for chaotic, colorful live shows. Their second album, Surfing the Void (2010), took a darker, heavier direction, and Love Frequency (2014) leaned further into electronic production. Across three albums the band blended falsetto harmonies, sci-fi lyrics and pulsing rhythms into a distinct sound. Klaxons deliver a high-energy mix of guitars, synthesizers and club beats that captures the excitement of a defining moment in 2000s indie music.
