Book José Feliciano
José Feliciano is the Puerto Rican singer and guitar virtuoso whose recordings of the Doors' "Light My Fire" and his own holiday classic "Feliz Navidad" are known around the world. Discovered at Gerde's Folk City in Greenwich Village and signed to RCA Victor, he released The Voice and Guitar of José Feliciano and A Bag Full of Soul in the mid-1960s, then broke through in 1968 when Feliciano! reached number two on the US album chart. His style fuses Latin, blues, jazz, soul and rock around a signature acoustic guitar, and he records in English and Spanish, with fifty-plus studio albums including Souled (1968), 10 to 23 (1969), Fireworks (1970) and Memphis Menu (1972). He won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1969, later took Best Latin Pop Album in 1984, 1987, 1990 and 1991, and added Best Tropical Latin Album in 2009. Further honors include a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the National Medal of Arts in 2023 and the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame. In concert he offers dazzling guitar work, warm bilingual vocals and timeless songs that span generations.
