Book John Green

John Green is an American author and YouTuber whose novels reshaped young adult fiction and whose online videos have built one of the internet's most devoted communities. Born in Indianapolis and raised in Orlando, he studied English and religious studies at Kenyon College, spent six months as a chaplain-in-training at a hospital for children and then joined Booklist in Chicago while writing his first book. That debut, Looking for Alaska (2005), won the 2006 Michael L. Printz Award. He followed with An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns (2008), which won an Edgar Award, Let It Snow with Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson with David Levithan. The Fault in Our Stars (2012) became a worldwide phenomenon, and Turtles All the Way Down (2017) continued his run, with several of his novels adapted for film. His books have 50 million copies in print. In 2007 he and his brother Hank launched the Vlogbrothers channel, which grew into the Nerdfighteria community and the annual Project for Awesome charity drive, and the pair later created the educational series Crash Course. Green is a funny, heartfelt speaker on reading, curiosity, education and mental resilience.
