Book Joe Jackson
Joe Jackson, born David Ian Jackson in 1954, is a musician, singer and songwriter from England who found success in the late 1970s new wave scene. His debut album, Look Sharp!, carried "Is She Really Going Out with Him?" in 1979, and the follow-up I'm the Man the same year included "It's Different for Girls." He went on to explore jazz, swing, salsa and classical music, with the 1982 album Night and Day producing a major international hit. Jackson has several Grammy nominations, from best male rock vocal in 1980 to record of the year in 1983, and he won the Grammy for best contemporary instrumental album in 2001. In 2016 he received the Berliner Bär. He is a skilled pianist and fiercely independent artist whose concerts are literate, musically adventurous and full of sharp wit.
