Book Jimmy Fortune

Jimmy Fortune is an American country singer and songwriter from Nelson County, Virginia, best known as the tenor of The Statler Brothers for 21 years. He joined the group in 1982, first as a temporary fill-in for original tenor Lew DeWitt and then as a permanent member, and he wrote several of the band's number-one songs, including "Elizabeth," "Too Much on My Heart" and "My Only Love." In 2008 he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as a member of The Statler Brothers. When the group retired in 2002 he turned to a busy solo touring career across the U.S. and Canada, releasing When One Door Closes (2003), I Believe (2005), Feels Like Christmas (2007), Windows (2009), God & Country (2019) and Songs of an American Dreamer (2025). Hits & Hymns (2015), produced by Ben Isaacs, reached the Top Ten of Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, and the companion TV special hosted by Bill Gaither opened at the top of Billboard's music video chart. In 2020 he co-founded Brothers of the Heart, releasing Brotherly Love (2020). He delivers a soaring tenor.
