Book Holland Taylor

Holland Taylor is an American actress and playwright whose dry wit and elegant authority have graced stage and screen for five decades. She won a 1999 Primetime Emmy Award as supporting actress in a drama for playing Judge Roberta Kittleson on The Practice, and earned four more Emmy nominations as the unforgettable Evelyn Harper on Two and a Half Men (2003). Her eighth Emmy nomination came for the Netflix limited series Hollywood (2020). Television fans also know her from Bosom Buddies (1980), The L Word (2004) and Mr. Mercedes (2017). On film she has appeared in Romancing the Stone (1984), The Truman Show (1998), Legally Blonde (2001), Baby Mama (2008) and Quiz Lady (2023), among many others. Taylor also wrote and starred in Ann, her one-woman Broadway play about the life of Texas governor Ann Richards, which brought her a 2013 Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Play, and she revived it in 2022 at the Pasadena Playhouse. Her Broadway résumé further includes The Front Page (2016). She brings polish, a writer's insight and razor-sharp comic timing to any conversation or stage.
