Book DragonForce
DragonForce are the London power metal band behind "Through the Fire and Flames," the blistering song featured in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and other video games, and their single "Heroes of Our Time" earned a Grammy nomination in 2009. Formed in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, who remain at its core, the band is known for long, lightning-fast guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics and a sound shaped by retro video games, a style they call "extreme power metal." After signing with Noise Records in 2002, they released Valley of the Damned (2003) and Sonic Firestorm (2004). Inhuman Rampage (2005), home to "Through the Fire and Flames," was their international breakthrough, followed by Ultra Beatdown (2008), which contained "Heroes of Our Time." The Power Within (2012), Maximum Overload (2014), Reaching Into Infinity (2017), Extreme Power Metal (2019) and Warp Speed Warriors (2024) have kept them at the front of the genre. Li and Totman now share the stage with singers Marc Hudson and Alissa White-Gluz plus a rhythm section of Alicia Vigil on bass and Gee Anzalone on drums, with Billy Wilkins on guitar.
