Book Dr. Phil McGraw
Phil McGraw, known to television audiences everywhere as Dr. Phil, is an American TV personality and author who spent two decades as one of daytime television's most recognizable hosts. Born in 1950, he earned a doctorate in clinical psychology and began his career working alongside his father in a private psychology practice in Wichita Falls, Texas. His national profile took off in the late 1990s through frequent appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where his blunt, commonsense advice made him a fan favorite. With Oprah Winfrey's backing, he launched his own talk show, Dr. Phil, in September 2002 and hosted it until 2023, tackling relationships, family conflict and personal change with a no-nonsense style. The show earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host in 2010, along with nine nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host between 2003 and 2012. McGraw also has his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star. He is a direct, plainspoken and often funny speaker on relationships, communication, accountability and taking charge of your life, drawing on two decades of conversations with guests from every walk of life.
