Book Claressa Shields

Claressa Shields is an American boxing champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist. As an amateur she won gold in the women's middleweight division at both the 2012 and 2016 Games, becoming the first American boxer to win back-to-back Olympic medals; 2012 was the first year women's boxing was on the Olympic program. As a professional she has won 20 major world championships across five weight classes, including undisputed reigns at light middleweight in 2021, at middleweight twice between 2019 and 2024, and at heavyweight from 2025 to 2026, plus the WBO light heavyweight crown. She reached two, three, four and five division world titles in fewer pro fights than anyone, and is the only woman to hold all four major belts, WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO, in three divisions. She was honored as Female Fighter of the Year by the nation's boxing writers in 2018 and 2022, receiving the Christy Martin Award each time, and in 2024 ESPN named her the top woman in boxing this century. She has entered the USA Boxing Alumni Association's Hall of Fame and the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.
