Chris Stapleton has won 12 Grammy Awards from 26 nominations, including three for Best Country Album, for Traveller, From A Room: Volume 1 and Starting Over, and Best Country Solo Performance three years running for "White Horse," "It Takes a Woman" and "Bad As I Used To Be" from the F1 film. The Kentucky-born singer, songwriter and guitarist moved to Nashville in 1996 to study at Vanderbilt and instead signed as a writer with Sea Gayle Music. After singing with the bluegrass band the SteelDrivers, he went solo with Traveller (2015), which reached number one on the Billboard 200 and featured his signature take on "Tennessee Whiskey." His shelf also holds CMA and ACM awards in double figures, including CMA Album of the Year honors, and the ACM named him Artist-Songwriter of the Decade in 2019. Higher followed in 2023.
