Book Celtic Woman
Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish ensemble that blends soaring vocals and fiddle with traditional Celtic melodies and modern songs. The group grew out of a single concert at The Helix in Dublin in September 2004, assembled by musical director David Downes, a former musical director of Riverdance. The original five were fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt and singers Lisa Kelly, Chloë Agnew, Méav Ní Mhaolchatha and Órla Fallon. Broadcasts of that show on PBS turned the group into an American touring phenomenon, and the self-titled debut album of 2004 held the top spot on Billboard's World Music chart for 81 weeks in total. On six occasions Billboard has crowned Celtic Woman its top World Album Artist of the Year, and the group has earned a Grammy nomination and a Music Moves Europe Award. Its catalog tops 20 albums, among them A New Journey (2007), Believe (2012), Destiny (2015), Ancient Land (2018), Postcards From Ireland (2021) and Nollaig – A Christmas Journey (2025). Productions such as the Symphony Tour, the Emerald Tour and the Homecoming World Tour show the lavish, theatrical concert experience the ensemble brings to stages around the world.
