Billy West is an American musician and voice actor behind a long list of famous cartoon characters. On Futurama he voices Philip J. Fry along with Zapp Brannigan, Dr. Zoidberg, Professor Farnsworth and many more. He also gave voice to the title characters of Doug and The Ren & Stimpy Show, and he took over as Bugs Bunny in the 1996 film Space Jam. For Disney he voiced Ellyvan the Elephant in Jungle Junction and Bashful in The 7D, and his range covers Popeye, Elmer Fudd, Woody Woodpecker, Shaggy Rogers, Muttley and Rocket Raccoon. In commercials he is the voice of the Red M&M and was once Buzz the bee for Honey Nut Cheerios. Before animation, West made his name in radio. In the 1980s he performed daily comedy bits on The Big Mattress morning show at WBCN in Boston, then moved to New York in 1988 and joined The Howard Stern Show, where his impressions, including Larry Fine and Jackie Martling, stood out until he left in 1995.
