Ben Shapiro is an American conservative commentator, author and media host who co-founded The Daily Wire in 2015 and now serves as its editor emeritus. He hosts The Ben Shapiro Show, a daily political podcast that also airs as a live radio program, and writes columns for Creators Syndicate, Newsweek and Ami Magazine. Shapiro started early: at 17 he launched a nationally syndicated column, making him the youngest syndicated columnist in the country, and he had two books in print by 21. His debut, Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth (2004), took aim at campus culture, and Primetime Propaganda (2011) examined the politics of network television. Later titles include The Right Side of History (2019), Bullies: How the Silence Culture of the Left Works and How to Debate Leftists and Destroy Them: 11 Rules for Winning the Argument, part of a catalog of 16 nonfiction books. He was editor-at-large at Breitbart News from 2012 to 2016. In 2025 he served as a torchbearer at Israel's Independence Day ceremony. On stage, Shapiro is known for rapid-fire argument, debate-style Q&A and a sharp command of policy detail.
