Book Babymetal
Babymetal is a Tokyo band that created kawaii metal, fusing J-pop sweetness and idol choreography with heavy metal riffs and double-bass drumming. The group formed in 2010 and is fronted by Suzuka Nakamoto as Su-metal and Moa Kikuchi as Moametal, backed by the Kami Band. A third member, Yui Mizuno, departed in 2018. Songs such as "Doki Doki Morning," "Gimme Chocolate!!," "Megitsune," "KARATE" and "Road of Resistance" brought them international fame. Albums include BABYMETAL in 2014, METAL RESISTANCE, METAL GALAXY, THE OTHER ONE and METAL FORTH in 2025, five in all. They toured with Lady Gaga and headlined world tours such as the Metal Galaxy World Tour. Babymetal's concerts are theatrical and precisely choreographed, mixing mosh pits and energetic dance numbers into an unmistakable show.
