Book Aya Nakamura
Aya Nakamura is a French and Malian singer-songwriter who has become the most prominent female voice in contemporary French pop and Afro-pop. She began sharing music online in 2014, building a following with "Karma" and "J'ai mal", then broke through on the French charts with "Love d'un voyou", her duet with rapper Fababy. Her debut album Journal intime arrived in 2017, and its follow-up Nakamura (2018) launched her internationally with the hits "Djadja" and "Copines". Later albums include AYA (2020), DNK (2023) and Destinée (2025). In France she has scored six chart-topping singles and a pair of chart-topping albums, and the video for "Djadja" passed a billion YouTube views, making her the first African musician to reach that milestone with a video. Her honors include a Victoires de la Musique award for AYA, the 2024 Victoires de la Musique prize for female artist of the year, a NRJ Music Award, recognition in the OkayAfrica 100 Women list and multiple MTV Europe Music Award nominations for Best French Act. In concert she pairs magnetic confidence with a catalog of dance-ready hooks, mixing Afrobeats, zouk, R&B and French pop into a vibrant, high-energy show.
