Book Arca

Arca is the Venezuelan musician and producer Alejandra Ghersi, born October 14, 1989, and based in Barcelona, a fearless innovator in electronic and experimental pop. After studying at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, she introduced the Arca name with the EP Baron Libre in 2012, then drew wide attention with Stretch 1 and Stretch 2. Her albums Xen (2014) and Mutant (2015) established a singular, shape-shifting sound, while the self-titled Arca (2017), released on XL Recordings, put her own voice at the center for the first time. Between 2020 and 2021 she released an ambitious five-album cycle, KiCk i, KICK ii, KicK iii, kick iiii and kiCK iiiii, pulling from reggaeton, IDM, techno, avant-pop and ambient music, and she returned in July 2026 with XXXXX, her ninth studio album. As a producer and collaborator she has shaped landmark records including Kanye West's Yeezus (2013), FKA Twigs' EP2 and LP1, and Björk's Vulnicura (2015) and Utopia (2017), and has worked with Rosalía, Frank Ocean, the Weeknd and Madonna. Arca has received a Grammy nomination, and her live performances are immersive, boundary-pushing audiovisual experiences.
