Book Anita Wilson
Anita Wilson is a gospel singer, songwriter and producer raised in East St. Louis, Illinois, whose warm, soulful voice has made her a favorite in contemporary gospel. Before stepping out on her own, she spent a decade singing backup for celebrated gospel songwriter and producer Donald Lawrence, an apprenticeship that honed her phrasing and stage presence. Her solo debut, Worship Soul, arrived in 2012, introduced by the single "Speechless" and anchored by her signature hit "Jesus Will." She followed with Vintage Worship in 2014, led by "That's What He's Done For Me," and that album earned a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Album; across her career she has collected three Grammy nominations in all. Her catalog continued with Sunday Song (2017) and Dance Soul (2020), blending worship, classic soul and uptempo grooves. Wilson is also a honorary member of Zeta Phi Beta. In concert she delivers a stirring mix of praise and old-school R&B feeling, leading audiences through joyful, spirit-lifting songs with the power of a seasoned choir veteran.
