Book AFI
AFI, short for A Fire Inside, formed in Ukiah, California, in 1991. Since 1998 the lineup has been vocalist Davey Havok, drummer Adam Carson, bassist and keyboardist Hunter Burgan and guitarist and keyboardist Jade Puget. Starting out as a hardcore punk act with records such as Answer That and Stay Fashionable (1995) and Very Proud of Ya (1996), the band moved through horror punk on Black Sails in the Sunset (1999) and The Art of Drowning (2000) before breaking big. Sing the Sorrow (2003) hit the Billboard 200 top five and spun off the alternative radio staples "Girl's Not Grey" and "Silver and Cold." Decemberunderground (2006) opened in the top spot on the Billboard 200, led by "Miss Murder," which topped the modern rock chart and appeared in Guitar Hero III. Later albums include Crash Love (2009), Burials (2013), AFI (2017), Bodies (2021) and Silver Bleeds the Black Sun... (2025), as the band explored gothic and alternative rock. With twelve studio albums behind them, AFI deliver theatrical, emotionally charged shows anchored by Havok's commanding presence and a devoted fan base that sings every word.
